Random Chests Bug

Hey there, I know that there is at least one chest that strangely has no shield while the boss still lives. That will be dealt with asap. On your second note: If you are PvP flagged and not part of the raiding group, you can open the loot chest (given it has no shield) and the loot becomes free for all. That is currently by design. The shrines are also working as designed. Everyone in ~20m radius around the shrine, even if not part of the group, will receive the buff.

Hey @MEATCUP It should save the settings, though maybe have a look when you start the launcher and open the graphic settings there. Maybe those keep "resetting" the ones in the game. @FriendlyFoe Glad that it works now for you. I will still try to reproduce that and find out what it actually is. Having tooltips for the different settings (like V-Sync does) is actually a good idea I think.^^

The drop chance is based on the mob's effective health, type (standard, veteran or elite) and "bossiness" (standard, mini boss or boss). Hey everyone, we are making some changes on how we drop what we call fragments (runes, souls and relics). We are making those changes to diminish the rarity differences between level 1, 2 and 3 artifacts. How it is now: Before Oberon you could get fragments of the same tier as the mob or lower from any mob that drops silver. This means that e.g. a tier 5 Keeper could drop tier 4 and 5 fragments. @Faisca So you mean like a spell effect that looks like a mob? I think as long as you want to be able to control it during its lifetime it's gonna become very difficult to pull off. If we introduce a summoner's staff, I believe we'd only do it if we get the "true" feeling of it into the game. - Lino

This site is really getting better and better. Thanks a lot for all the effort you put into it. I also found a bug. On the meta page if you click on the ignore boots button the grouping of the builds doesn't work correctly. For instance if I choose the All Items options, a Wild Staff build showed up on #9, but if I then switch to 'ignore boots' there is no Wild Staff build in the top 10 anymore, which should not be possible. Hey @Mishirene! We prototyped a summoner's staff and while we liked it in principle, we currently don't see a feasible way to implement it due to the heavy performance impact it might have. In theory every player could use it, so even if you're only spawning one minion at a time, that would already double the amount of entities in that regard. And that is something we simply cannot afford right now. So at least for the time being, the summoner's staff will not make an appearance in Albion. - Lin…

Hey @Cathair! I'm not sure about the fishing nodes. They might simply be the spawns for bigger fishing zones (if so you should be able to differentiate between them by a type). About the atlas coordinates: Depends on what files you can access. If you can access the actual prefab (you'd need NGUI for that), then it should be easy to find the coordinates. But if you only have the PNG, then there's no good way to find them I fear. - Lino

Melding multiple Artifact

@Midgard It would be a pretty big effort for us to compile one big backlog (currently we have different ones for different purposes/departments etc.). And even if it was assembled, it probably wouldn't be of much use to the players, as it doesn't always represent the actual plan. Things change all the time. Apart from that problem, I wouldn't have the necessary authority to publish a list like that. So that wouldn't be my decision to publish one if we ever do. - Lino

The drop chance for Dungeon Maps is based on the mobs Silver. This means a mob that not drops Silver will have no chance to drop a map. As a reference: a group killing veterans in black zone should see about one drop per hour. Edit: Those maps are tradeable.

Our team is looking into this and it looks like that they have identified what causes the issue. A fix will be deployed as soon as possible. (everything scales with the base HP) We can change the wording for the final changelog to make it less misleading. If you are already in a party and looking for additional partymembers, only the leader of your party has access to the party finder functionality. GvG Season 5 Starts on Saturday

Hi @MEATCUP, If I understand you correctly, then you are referring to the HUD element of the party finder. This will be there as long as your party hasnt reached the (selected) max. amount of players or the party leader as left the party queue manually. Spectral Bats are way too easy to get

Unfortunately there's an issue with points not being split based on group size- we're currently deploying a hotfix for this. That said, it will still be relatively easy to obtain when playing in a group in a high end activity like black zone dungeons. Do you have a version of Qt installed on your PC? If yes try to uninstall it, it could interfere with the used and shipped one with the launcher. If it's the case we will work on a fix for the launcher.

Please be sure to have SDL installed. (on debian/ubuntu: sudo apt-get install libsdl2-2.0) Its needed for WWise Audio Engine in Albion. wiki.libsdl.org/Installation

Test Server Download Speeds any Indication, you have problems for Monday.

Hey guys, don't worry. The test server is... just a small, humble test server. There is no CDN and no serious bandwidth. We are surprised and overwhelmed by the "sudden" interest in it. Rest assures that the live server is an entirely different beast. And yes, you will be able to download the live client over the weekend already. David

Guild tab bugs

thanks for reporting this bug! the fix will be deployed with an upcoming patch a workaround for now when this bug appears is to move up the scrollbar to the top (you can click and drag the scrollbar), then switch to another tab and finally switch back to the previously bugged tab

Keyboard glitch after inviting someone

There is a known bug with the invitation ui (e.g. for guild/party). if you type a name and press "Enter" to submit your invitation (instead of clicking "OK") the keyboard gets disabled for people that have window animations disabled in the options. This will be fixed in an upcoming patch. A workaround for now is to click in the chat window, this re-enables the keyboard. I could not reproduce this error with pressing the "OK" button though.

Can't install on drive other than C:/

Right now you'll either need to make 4GB room on C: or configure your windows to put the temp folders on D: (you can google how to do this or let a friend help you). We are trying to find a better solution in the very near future.

Well, this causes a bit of a discussion between me and Korn. We'll see what we can do about this. The solution will be something automatic such as using the install drive if the temp folder is full, so no fiddling with ini files.

Apparently your temp folder is still on drive C. If you absolutely cannot free space on C, you need to change the temp folder locations. Do this at your own risk! My recommendation is to free space on C instead and leave your system settings intact. For the local temp folders, edit your system enviroment variables TMP and TEMP. Concerns about acount safety

If I may add one more thing: the way to go is of course two-factor-authentication, since you would have to break into two devices instead of just one. We already have a light version of that - if you log in from a new device, you will have to do an email verification. Account theft is way down since we have introduced this. The only people who still get their accounts stolen are those who use the same password for Albion and their email account (or the email account is otherwise compromised).

Hi HyunMi, you are not wrong, but there is no way for us to make this secure. If you are afraid of malicious software on your machine (and that is a completely valid concern), you should never save a password in any application. Not in Albion, not in your web browser, not anywhere else. Encryption does not help here, because the game needs to be able to decrypt and send the password on login, so the encryption key needs to be stored somewhere as well and can be stolen in the same way... Constant disconnects and lag

Hi, The bad news first: I cannot comment on individual disconnects. This does not seem be a general problem; we have multiple machines running Albion 24/7 and almost never see any disconnects. The likely reasons for disconnects are your internet provider (e.g. 24-hour-disconnect), your Wifi (lots of wireless networds in the building = unstable) etc. This may not be a very satifying answer, but - if you get a lot of disconnects, the problem is somewhere on "your" side, it's not our server. Ultrawide Resolution Support? 3440x1440

Hi everyone, the problem with ultra-wide resolutions is that it gives you a broader field of view. In a competitive game like Albion Online this would give you an unfair advantage. It is essentially like a hardware-camera-hack and that is why we do not support it. The game server will BTW limit the objects you can actually see, so even if you get the game to work on 3 screens you will not actually see mobs or other players on the 2 additional screens. David

What Bercilak said. Especially the books by Abercrombie is something everyone should read, the stand alone books after the first law trilogy most of all. Currently listening to 'Tower Lord' book two in the Ravens shadow trilogy (Blood song), third book will be out really soon as well (7th of july). The destiny board is something that allows you to grow as a character, it just is different progression system than Tibia. When I was younger I played a lot of Tibia and I still play it for a week every year due to nostalgia, the world has a bit of the same feel to it as you had when you first left Rook.
